Project: Assumption Grammar School

This project was to involve the construction of a new three storey building and part of the existing school to be refurbished which is to provide a state of the art teaching facility in Northern Ireland.
The new building was to include:
• Full range of drama, science , technology etc classrooms
• Meals kitchen accommodation & dining hall
• Science/Physics Laboratories
• Admin/Office Accommodations
• Sports Facilities which includes, sports hall, MUGA spots pitch
• Staff car park?
AEM Ltd was appointed to provide Electrical Installations that are associated with modern design implementation within the Grammar School Environment.
Suited Master Key Controls to general Power Circuits ensured that Plug and Play items could not be left in a Position that devices could be left to waste energy.
Further Electrical Installations included:
• Specialist Stage Lighting
• Intruder Alarm
• Audible Class Change System
• TV/Satellite & Radio Distribution
• Cashless till systems
• Data infrastructure
• Door access system
• P.A Systems
• Pitch lighting
• Induction Loops
This project is carried out over 3 phases. Phase one of project required the existing school to be demolished and temporary accommodation to be installed while the new build was to take place. This entailed a great deal of co-ordination between AEM Ltd and the contractors involved as well as the school.
AEM Ltd had to ensure that strict guidelines were issued and adhered to when it came to working in this live and complex environment. AEM staff had to understand and also comply with child protection laws and procedures.
Each stage of the project so far has been delivered on time and also within budget. Regular meeting have been held to ensure that targets and objectives of this project will be brought in line with the programme of works.
