Under the Northern Ireland School Modernisation Programme we are completing a new replacement twenty-one classroom primary school along with school meals accommodation for Lisnagelvin Primary School.

The project includes associated ancillary accommodation, external play spaces, parking, siteworks and phased demolition of the existing school.

The capital expenditure for Electrical Installations was £450,787. The project is currently ongoing with completion due in August 2010. The project has kept in line with the clients required timescales and budget requirements.

As part of the Design & Build Contractors team on this project we have successfully brought the project through the Target Cost Agreement process and agreement of Contract Data Part Two and Activity Schedule. The scheme encompasses the BREEAM process and is on schedule to achieve a ‘Very Good’ rating and has also been audited by the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

Cost Management and Value Engineering procedures were employed to bring the project to a satisfactory conclusion with the client’s budget. Plant and material deliveries to the building were programmed to minimize distribution to the client’s operation.
