Project: QUB – Health Science Client: Queens University Belfast Value: £751,000 Service: ElectricalScopeThe new four-storey 4,000m² building comprises two separate, and functionally different, blocks of accommodation, joined by an internal street. The south block accommodation is designed to provide cellular office space and small meeting rooms, which will be predominantly low tech and naturally ventilated. The north block will provide larger spaces such as teaching accommodation, generic research labs, equipment areas, and open plan office/write-up space for research staff. The ground floor throughout the two blocks will accommodate administrative offices for the School of Medicine and Dentistry and for the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences, together with meeting and teaching accommodation.ScaleThe capital expenditure for Electrical Installations was £751K. The project took 12 month to complete with work starting in Sept 2009. To date work has also been completed within budget. Electrical Installation work took place over the new build included the following:
