A new £1.3 million Centre for Advanced Imaging has been opened at the University’s Coleraine campus which was funded by a grant from the UK Science Research Investment Fund (SRIF) 2006-2008. ??At the heart of the Centre’s research facilities are two specially constructed microscopes: the world’s first cryo-dualbeam microscope – combining a focused ion beam microscope with a scanning electron microscope; and a unique atomic force/confocal microscope hybrid.
The client employed AEM Ltd to provide and install associated Electrical Installation that is associated with modern design Implementation within the Education Environment.
The Electrical Installation works included:

• New Feeder Pillar
• Mains Cabling
• General & External & Emergency and Roofspace Lighting
• General Power
• Specialist Trunking
• Fire Alarm
• Intruder Alarm
• Door Access
• Warden Call
• Lightning Protection and Disabled Refuge.
